Echoes is an experimental documentary recorded on an abandoned military base in Ikateq which was built during World War II as a stop used for refueling by the military planes going from the US to Europe. The landscapes with the decomposing fuel barrels of which the island might have several hundred thousands are intercut with the story of Anna and her Danish husband, whose meeting in Kulusuk would not have happened if not for the international cooperation between the US, Greenland, and Denmark. The film is structured by the sounds and colors of the mosaic landscape of East Greenland.
