On the Croatian island of Vis, a diverse group discusses their future, reflecting on the decline of storytelling and listening cultures. Fishermen, youth, intellectuals, and others, gather in cinematic dialogue, shaping the collective protagonist. Their debates on growth versus environmental protection connect past, present, and future; bridging local and global perspectives.

Katarina Stanković

Katarina Stanković was born in 1982 in Serbia. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute and Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in audio-visual studies as well as from Kunsthochschüle für Medien Köln in film directing. She has made several shorts and medium-length films that were screened in many international festivals (Berlinale, Locarno, Rotterdam) and that won awards and special mentions. The Tempest of Neptun (2024) is her debut feature-length documentary.
