Soulpaint
Soul Paint exists at the nexus of immersive technology, creative storytelling and wellbeing to explore the richness of the embodied human experience. Participants are taken on a journey to explore and creatively express feelings of emotion and sensations in the body. Through the process of body-mapping, 3D drawing, and movement, they are invited to reveal their unique inner reality. Using interactive technology in a genre-pushing way, this experience encourages new forms of embodied insight, allowing us to reflect on the diversity of human experience on an individual and global level.
Sarah Ticho is a multi-award-winning artist, strategist, entrepreneur, and change-maker operating at the intersection of health, well-being, and immersive storytelling. She directs and produces XR experiences, including SOUL PAINT. Narrated by actor and activist Rosario Dawson, the piece has garnered international accolades, including the SXSW Special Jury Prize in the competition and Best Health and Wellness at The Games for Change Awards in 2024.
Niki Smit is co-founder / creative Director at Monobanda, where he explores and expands the boundaries of play and embodied interaction. Additionally, he co-founded ExploreDEEP, where he creates meditative, breath-controlled VR experiences His work focuses heavily on researching and developing new forms of play. His passion lies in creating projects that connect the human body, physical space, and the virtual world in surprising ways, creating meaningful play that fills the space between art, science and education.
