Sára Timár has lived in a Budapest villa since childhood, a place closely tied to folk dance and her family’s history. As it becomes increasingly clear that the house has a dark past connected to the political police and secret detention, she begins investigating a story her family has largely kept silent about. Through archival materials, personal memories, and the testimonies of former witnesses, her personal family history gradually intertwines with questions of collective memory and Hungarian society after the regime change.
