Élek, mint bárki más

Faustine Cros 1988-ban született és a belgiumi INSAS-on végzett vágóként. Tartani az eget

Pieter Van Eecke Brüsszelben élő filmrendező és környezetvédő. Első egész estés dokumentumfilmje, a Sámuel a felhők fölött (2016) világszerte több fesztiválon nyert díjakat, többek közt a Chicagói Filmfesztivál Arany Hugó-díját, a Trentói Filmfesztivál Arany Trentiano-díját és a Full Frame Környezetvédelmi Díjat. A Holding Up the Sky a második egész estés dokumentumfilmje, amelynek premierje a 2023-as genfi FIFDH-en volt, és még ugyanebben az évben a mozikban is bemutatták Belgiumban és Hollandiában. Harmadik egész estés dokumentumfilmje, a Planet B az Extinction Rebellion két fiatal klímaaktivistájáról szól, és elsőként a 2023-as Visions du Réelen volt látható.

Hawar, száműzött gyermekeink

Love Is Not an Orange

Otilia Babara is a documentary filmmaker from Moldova, currently based in Brussels. She holds a degree in documentary filmmaking from the DocNomads European Master program (Belgium, Hungary, Portugal), and is a 2013 Berlinale Talents fellow. She directed and produced the short films Irene (2015), selected for several international film festivals, and Women on Canvas (2009), awarded at the Astra and Cronograf Film Festivals. She is drawn to those who usually go unnoticed. Her films expose big wounds hidden in small details. She's fascinated by the untold stories of women.

Falling

Anna Gyimesi was born in 1985, in Budapest. After receiving her degree in medicine in 2011, she turned to filmmaking. She graduated from the film directing program of the University of Theater and Film Arts, Budapest, in 2019, and from documentary film directing in the DocNomads Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Course in 2021. Her interests are taboo social dilemmas represented through personal dramas, especially connected to motherhood, womanhood, and social marginalization. Her latest short, Affricate focuses on a single mother raising her disabled teenage daughter while facing her own deeply-buried needs. The film premiered in the short film competition of the Sarajevo Film Festival and screened, among many others, at PÖFF Shorts 2022, Seattle International Film Festival, and OFF-Odense International Film Festival. Recently, she has been focusing on the development of her debut, Soft Hours, under the frame of Midpoint Feature Launch 2023. Falling is her graduation film for the DocNomads Joint Master Programme.

A Life Like Any Other

Born in 1988, Faustine Cros graduated from INSAS (Belgium) in editing. In her work, she plays with hybrid forms of documentary, auto-fiction, and experimental film, mixing her own images with family archives. Her graduation film, La Détesteuse was selected and awarded at many international festivals. A Life Like Any Other is her first film produced by Julie Freres at Dérives.

Holding Up the Sky

Pieter Van Eecke is a filmmaker and climate activist based in Brussels. His first feature-length documentary, Samule in the Clouds (2016), was awarded at festivals across the world and won, among others, the Gold Hugo Award at the Chicago Film Festival, the Gold Gentiano at the Trento Film Festival, and the Full Frame Environmental Award. His second feature, Holding Up the Sky, premiered at FIFDH Geneva 2023, and was theatrically released later that year in both Belgium and the Netherlands. His third feature, Planet B, about two young climate activists and members of Extinction Rebellion, premiered at Visions du Réel 2023.

Hawar, Our Banished Children

Pascale Bourgaux has covered all of the conflicts and crises in the Middle East in recent years. She has won numerous international awards for her reports, documentaries and books in Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.

Radji

Georg Götmark has a degree in film and cultural studies from Stockholm University and the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He has also completed a post-graduate course at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm. Georg is currently working as a producer and director at Filmfront Media AB, which he co-founded. He has worked with documentaries and in TV since 2001. He has worked on a number of international documentary projects, such as The Last Lacandones, a film about Mayan Indians, shot in Mexico; Transit Tanger, about Moroccans dreaming of a new life in Europe; and Citizen Oketch, about a family living in the Kibera slum outside of Nairobi. His first feature creative documentary, Bellum – The Daemon of War (2021), was about AI, robotics, and ethics. Georg has traveled extensively producing a number of TV series and reports for Swedish television, and educational films for universities, organizations and companies.

John Erling Utsi is a freelance Sami filmmaker and journalist with an extensive career at SVT-Sápmi.

József ősszel

Cecilia Belén Sandoval argentin kép- és hangmérnök, aki a Buenos Aires Egyetemen végzett. Jelenleg a DocNomads MA programjában vesz részt. Munkáiban leginkább dokumentum- és kísérleti filmekre összpontosít, ahol rendezőként, operatőrként és kamerakezelőként vesz részt.

Erin Macpherson dél-afrikai dokumentumfilm-készítő. 2022 végén szerzi meg diplomáját a DocNomads Masters Programban. Filmjei többek között olyan humanitárius, társadalmi-politikai kérdéseket járnak körbe, mint a queer jogok, a klímaváltozás és a mentális egészség.

Elek Judit Sára az Eötvös Lóránd Tudományegyetemen szerzett filmelmélet és filmtörténet alapszakos diplomát, majd egy év filmkészítés mesterszak után a Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetem dokumentumfilm-rendező művész mesterszakos hallgatója lett, diplomáját a University of Performing Arts-on, Pozsonyban szerezte meg. Jelenleg más tervek mellett, diplomafilmjét fejleszti tovább, dokumentumfilmek, fikciós rövidfilmekben dolgozik asszisztensként.

Lesia Diak ukrán dokumentumfilm rendező, 2021 óta tanul a DocNomads nemzetközi MA programjában dokumentumfilm-rendezést. Első, egész estés dokumentumfilmje, a Dad’s Lullaby befejezésén dolgozik, ami egy, a 2014-ben kezdődött orosz-ukrán háborúban traumatizált háborús veterán családi életét mutatja be.
