Danial Shah is an independent documentary photographer and filmmaker from Pakistan currently based in Brussels. He is interested in issues related to human condition and the environment they interact with. He works on commission and on editorial assignments. Danial's work has been published in The New York Times, The Times London, The Daily Telegraph,  Dawn (Pakistan), Herald (Pakistan), Express Tribune Magazine (Pakistan), The Wire (India), Scroll.in (India), Himal SouthAsian (Nepal), Dawn Urdu (Pakistan), and Trek&Mountain (UK). Yegor Troyanovsky is a Ukrainian director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He has solid professional experience in the audiovisual sector working in film production, television programs, advertising, and music videos on Ukrainian and American TV. Yegor is the author and film director of his first short documentary film Rear (participated in the VI Odesa International Film Festival). His first full-length documentary film Demon was a participant in XI Odesa International Film Festival and received the Fipresci award for the Best Film. Yegor Troyanovsky is also one of the creators of the critically-acclaimed historical documentary series: Collapse. How Ukrainians Destroyed the Evil Empire.

Her films have been screened at over 30 festivals, including Visions du Réel, Sarajevo Film Festival, DMZ Docs, PÖFF Shorts, and FipaDoc. Marta's feature-length debut documentary focuses on reconnecting with her sister, who has become a nun, by exploring life in her new home—a remote women's monastery in the West of Ukraine. Recently, Marta has been focusing on portraying various facets of the Ukrainian wartime experience in her films.

Juliette Menthonnex a svájci ECAL egyetemen szerzett alapdiplomát Filmművészet szakon. Early Years (2021) című rövidfilmjét számos nemzetöki fesztiválon bemutatták. 2022-ben mesterdiplomát szerzett az Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Docnomads program dokumentumfilmes képzésén. Legújabb filmje a Mese a három lángról (2023) a Dok Leipzig fesztiválon debütált.

Tale of the Three Flames

Juliette Menthonnex graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema at ECAL (École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne). Her short film Early Years (2021) screened at several international festivals. In 2022 she graduated with a Master’s degree in Documentary Filmmaking from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Docnomads (based in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels). Tale of the Three Flames (2023) is her most recent film and premiered at Dok Leipzig.

Armat

Anna Mkrtumyan egy Artsakhból származó dokumentumfilmes. A Bars Media független dokumentumfilm-stúdió tagja volt Örményországban. Jelenleg a DocNomads Joint Masters Programban dokumentumfilm-készítésből szerez mesterdiplomát. Mkrtumyan munkája során elsősorban arra törekszik, hogy bemutassa a hazájában uralkodó helyzetet, felhívja a figyelmet a háborús övezetben tapasztalható igazságtalanságokra és harcokra.

Armat

Anna Mkrtumyan is a documentary filmmaker from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). She has participated in various international peacebuilding programs and was part of an independent documentary film studio in Armenia. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking through the 'DocNomads' Joint Master's program. Anna's work focuses on shedding light on the situation in her homeland, raising awareness about the injustices and struggles faced by the people of Artsakh.

Kamay

A Kabulban született Ilyas Yourish 2011-ben kezdte multimédiás újságírói és televíziós műsorgyártói karrierjét, miközben a Kabuli Egyetem újságírói karára járt. 2018-ban Kamay Film néven olyan szervezetet alapított, amelynek célja, hogy az identitás, a trauma, a történelem és az emlékezet témáira összpontosító filmeket készítsen, különös tekintettel hazájára és annak népére. 2021-ben kénytelen volt Belgiumba menekülni, ahol azóta él és dolgozik. Legújabb dokumentumfilmjét a Kamay-t (2024) a Visions du Réel keretein belül mutatták be.

Kamay

Born and raised in Kabul, Ilyas Yourish began his career as a multimedia journalist and TV show producer in 2011, while studying at the Journalism Faculty of Kabul University. He founded Kamay Film in Afghanistan in 2018 with the goal of producing films centered on themes of identity, trauma, history, and memory, with a particular focus on his homeland and its people. In 2021, he was forced into exile to Belgium, where he has since lived and worked. His latest documentary Kamay (2024) premiered at Visions du Réel.
