Cyril Aris libanoni rendező és forgatókönyvíró, a New York-i Columbia Egyetemen szerzett MFA diplomát. Legújabb egész estés dokumentumfilmje, a Tánc a vulkán peremén (2023) az amerikai Sundance Institute utómunkálati-ösztöndíját és a németországi Robert Bösch FilmPrize díját kapta, az 57. Dancing on the Edge of a Volcano

Cyril Aris is a Lebanese Director & Screenwriter and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences®. He holds an MFA from Columbia University in the City of New York, and has taught Film at Columbia University, NHSI at Northwestern University and Barnard College. His latest feature documentary Dancing on the Edge of Volcano (2023), recipient a post-production grant from the Sundance Institute in the US and the Robert Bösch FilmPrize in Germany, premiered in the Main Competition of the 57th Karlovy Vary IFF and won a jury special mention. It had its UK premiere in competition at the 67th BFI London Film Festival and its North American premiere in competition at DOC NYC. His debut feature documentary, The Swing (2018) premiered at the Karlovy Vary IFF, and won awards in El-Gouna, Rome, London, Budapest and Tunisia.

Kis Palesztina – Napló egy ostrom alatt álló városból

Little Palestine, Diary of a Siege

Abdallah Al-Khatib was born in 1989, in Yarmouk, and studied sociology at the University of Damascus. Prior to the revolution, he was a coordinator of activities and volunteers for the UN. Along with several friends, he created the humanitarian aid association Wataad, which carried out dozens of projects in Syria, particularly in Yarmouk. He participated in several documentary films related to life at the Yarmouk camp, notably as a cameraman for 194. Us, Children of the Camp, which premiered at Visions du Réel in 2017. The German magazine Peace Green identified him as a 2014 “peacemaker”. He received the Per Anger Human Rights Award in Sweden, in 2016. Abdallah currently lives in Germany, where he recently received refugee status.

Alongside her first feature Freedom Fields, she is currently producing the documentary feature After a Revolution, and has a fiction film in development. Naziha is a Hot Docs-Blue Ice and Sundance Lab fellow, a WEF Global Shaper and part of the Lumiere d'Afrique collective. Her artwork has been published extensively in print and exhibited globally.

A Szíriában született Saeed Al Batal amatőr újságíró, fotós és filmes. Born in Syria, Saeed Al Batal is a citizen journalist, photographer and filmmaker. He has led numerous trainings in photography and news reporting, and has worked as a reporter on current affairs in Syria for agencies, radio stations and institutions worldwide. He is one of the founders of the online gallery, Sam Lenses, and the Humans of Syria project.

Born in Syria, Ghiath Ayoub is a filmmaker and visual artist. He graduated from the faculty of Fine Arts at the University Damascus in 2013. He co-founded a number of open spaces across Beirut. Ayoub also participates in various civil society initiatives, such as Humans of Syria, graphic design work and films that have been featured online and in exhibition spaces globally.
