Revival Roadshow

Luke Conroy (1990, Tasmánia) Hollandiában élő ausztrál művész, szociológus és oktató. 2012-ben szerzett BA diplomát a Tazmán Egyetemen, majd a Charles Darwin Egyetemen folytatta tanulmányai, művészet és média szakirányon. Gyakran dolgozik a holland audiovizuális tervezővel és vizuális művésszel, Anne Fehres-szel, olyan munkákon, amelyek a társadalmi problémákat, ökológiai kérdéseket és interdiszciplináris innovációkat feszegetnek. Munkáikat számos európai intézmény díjazta, többek között a European Cultural Foundation, az Olasz Kulturális Minisztérium, a Goethe Institut, az Arts Tasmania (Ausztrália), a Viborg Kunsthal (Dánia) és a Pier2 Art Center (Tajvan) kiállítóhelyein.

Anne Fehres (1988) holland interdiszciplináris művész, aki dokumentumfilm háttérből merítve vizsgálja a társadalmi és ökológiai narratívákat. A dokumentumfilm határait kitágítva spekulatív fikciót, XR-technológiákat és humort alkalmaz, hogy felhívja a figyelmet a kortárs társadalom kihívásaira. Multimédiás gyakorlata a kutatáson alapul, és digitális művészetben, fotózásban, hangtervezésben, videóban és installációkban ölt testet. Projektjeiben digitális kollázstechnikákat használ, különböző stílusok és vizuális elemek keverésével tükrözve a digitális kultúra dinamikus és fragmentált természetét.

Revival Roadshow

Luke Conroy (1990, Tasmania) is an Australian artist, sociologist and educator based in the Netherlands. He graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012 and then went on to study for a Diploma of Teaching and Learning at the Charles Darwin University, specialising in art and media. He frequently collaborates with Dutch audiovisual designer and visual artist Anne Fehres. Together they engage with social concerns, ecological issues and interdisciplinary innovation. Their work has been awarded and displayed across Europe including at The European Cultural Foundation, The Italian Ministry of Culture, Goethe Institut, Arts Tasmania (Australia), Viborg Kunsthal (Denmark) and The Pier2 Art Center (Taiwan).

Anne Fehres (1988) is an interdisciplinary artist from The Netherlands, drawing from a documentary film background to explore social and ecological narratives. Expanding the boundaries of documentary film, Fehres employs speculative fiction, XR technologies and humour to bring attention to the challenges of contemporary society. Her multimedia practice is rooted in research, manifesting in digital art, photography, sound design, video and installations. Across her projects, Fehres utilizes digital collage techniques, blending diverse styles and visuals to reflect the dynamic and fragmented nature of digital culture.

Love-22-Love

Jeroen Kooijmans holland művész 1995-ben végzett az amszterdami Gerrit Rietveld Akadémián. Azóta számos helyen élt, dolgozott és állított ki szerte a világon. Munkái bár alapvetően optimista hangvételűek, ne hagyják figyelmen kívül az élet sötét oldalát sem. Csodálatosan egyszerű filmek mellett komplex, többcsatornás videóinstallációkat készít hanggal és építészeti elemekkel kombinálva. Elnyerte 1998-ban az NPS Cultuurprijs-, 2007-ben pedig az Impakt Beam System Award-díjat. Részt vett 2000 és 2001 között a New York-i PS1/MoMa nemzetközi stúdióprogramjában, rezidens művész volt 2010-ben az amszterdami Építészeti Akadémiában, 2013 és 2014 között pedig az Instituto Buena Bista Curaçaónál.

A Tigris folyó oroszlánjai

Zaradasht Ahmed kurd–norvég filmkészítő Irak északi részén született és nőtt fel. Korábbi munkái között szerepel a díjnyertes dokumentumfilm Út Diyarbakırba. Sokéves tapasztalattal rendelkezik a dokumentumfilm-készítés terén a Közel-Keleten, Észak-Afrikában és Ázsiában, valamint a helyi lakosságnak tartott dokumentációs képzésekben. Az illegális bevándorlásról szóló filmjét, a Fata Morganát több rangos filmfesztiválon is bemutatták, az iraki halálháromszögről szóló Nincs hová bújnod a Verzió 2017-es nyitófilmje volt.

Hazai pálya

Lidija Zelović író és rendező az egykori Jugoszláviából származik, jelenleg Hollandiában él. A Zelovic Film kreatív producere, korábban a BBC és a Channel 4 executive producere és kutatója volt. Dokumentumfilmjeiről ismert, első filmje, a My Own Private War (2016) számos díjat nyert. A Hazai pálya a második dokumentumfilmje. 

Amerika alulnézetből

Monica Strømdahl a Falmouth College of Artson végzett, nemzetközi díjakkal elismert dokumentarista stillfotós. Elnyerte 2019-ben az Norwegian Picture of the Year első díját, jelölték a Leica Oscar Barnack Awardra. Az emberek és életük meghitt ábrázolásáról ismert. Rövidfilmeket is forgatott, Flophouse America az első egész estés filmje.

Love-22-Love

Jeroen Kooijmans is a Dutch artist. In 1995 he graduated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Since then he has lived, worked and exhibited in many places all over het world.The fundamental nature of Kooijmans’ work is optimistic, yet the dark side of life is not ignored. Wonderfully simple films exist alongside complex installations of video projections combined with sound and architectural elements. In 1998 Jeroen Kooijmans was awarded the NPS Cultuurprijs and in 2007 he won the Impakt Beam System Award. In 2001/2001 he was part of The International Studio Program of the PS1/MoMa in New York. As artist in residence Kooijmans was associated with the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture in 2010. In 2013/2014 he worked as artist in residence with the Instituto Buena Bista Curaçao.

The Lions by The River Tigris

Director and photographer Zaradasht Ahmed, born and raised in northern Iraq, is a Kurdish–Norwegian filmmaker. His previous work includes the award-winning documentary Road to Diyarbakır. He has many years of experience working with documentary filmmaking in the Middle East, North-Africa, and Asia, as well as with training local people in documentation. His film on the topic of illegal immigration to Europe, Fata Morgana, has been screened at several prestigious film festivals. Nowhere to Hide, on the death triangle of Iraq, was the opening film at Verzió 2017.

Home Game

Lidija Zelović is a writer and director from the former Yugoslavia now based in the Netherlands. She is the creative producer at Zelovic Film, and has worked as an executive producer and researcher for the BBC and Channel 4. Known for documentaries, her first film, My Own Private War (2016) was the recipient of numerous awards. Home Game is her second documentary.

Flophouse America

Monica Strømdahl is an international award-winning documentary stills photographer graduated from Falmouth College of Arts. In 2019, she won the 1st prize at the Norwegian Picture of The Year, and was nominated for the Leica Oscar Barnack Award (LOBA). Monica is known for her intimate way of portraying people and their lives. She has made short films, and Flophouse America is her debut feature film.
