Bio:
Narius Kairys is a film critic, lecturer in formal and non-formal education, translator, and programmer for the human rights film festival “Inconvenient Films”. He is also a PhD candidate at Vilnius Academy of Arts. In his academic work, Kairys explores the interactions between film and the social sciences. His interests lie in visual anthropology, film history and philosophy. Kairys occasionally writes fiction (his novel, Farther than the Ocean, was published in 2019) and exorcises ghosts.
