Documentary Poetry. Masterclass by Tue Steen Müller

The masterclass is based on the film Bridges of Time (dir: Kristine Briede, Audrius Stonys), a poetic essay film that goes in search of what it means to be a documentary filmmaker. “We studied human beings with the resources we had,” says one of the protagonists, Seleckis. “We had a camera, and time.”

Tue Steen Müller

Tue has worked with short and documentary films for over 20 years at the Danish Film Board. He has written articles for national and international newspapers and magazines, and co-founded Balticum Film and TV Festival, Filmkontakt Nord, Documentary of the EU and the European Documentary Network. Tue has given documentary courses and seminars in more than 40 countries. From its foundation in 1996, he served as the director of EDN. Since 2006, he has been a freelance consultant and teacher in Danish and European Documentary matters, and in 2009, became head of studies at IDF's Ex Oriente Film. Tue has taught at the Baltic Sea Forum and the Zelig Documentary Film School, Italy. He has been a program consultant for film festivals, such as Magnificent7, DocsBarcelona. His work has also earned him several awards.
