Tale of the Three Flames
In the heart of Portugal, in the mountainous region of Serra da Estrela, wildfire left strong marks on the landscape. Inhabitants rely on legends to explain the devastating events, others show resistance by rebuilding wasteland with their bare hands. Guards posted in small towers watch over the forest. The cyclical danger of fire hangs over the pine and granite landscape like a ghost. The relationship between humans and nature is gradually revealed, oscillating between magic, exploitation and cohabitation.
