18th VERZIÓ INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL

ONLINE & IN 6 CITIES (Budapest, Kecskemét, Pécs, Szeged, Debrecen, Szombathely)
VERZIÓ International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival is the most established documentary film festival in Hungary. It has been organized every year in November since 2004.
VERZIÓ showcases documentary films on human rights and social issues to a broad and diverse audience year after year, and with different types of events from discussions to industry events, it provides a forum to discuss current social issues.
CATEGORIES
Submit your film to one of the following categories through the linked application forms.
The winners of each section will be awarded with a monetary prize.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
showcasing a variety of outstanding creative documentaries on urgent human rights issues
STUDENT & DEBUT COMPETITION
a selection of the best debut & diploma films addressing human rights issues
HUNGARIAN COMPETITION
a selection of recent creative documentaries produced or co-produced in Hungary
CONDITIONS
-No entry fee for applications.
-One film can be submitted to only one category.
-Applicants may submit more than one film.
-There is no restriction on the production date.
-Re-submission of previously submitted films will not be accepted.
-Preview copies must be submitted either in English or with English subtitles.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 31 May 2021
