Ella Glendining is a writer-director dedicated to telling authentic disabled stories. She has written and directed short films with backing from Film4, the BFI, Arts Council England, Screen South, and the National Paralympic Heritage Trust. Glendining was named one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow 2020. She is currently writing a feature fiction film called Curiosities of Fools for the BFI.

Eefje Blankevoort studied history at the University of Amsterdam, and has since developed into a journalistic Swiss Army Knife. She writes articles and books, makes interactive projects, exhibitions and documentary films. She is the co-founder of the journalistic production agency, Prospektor. She co-directed The Mind Game.

Sajid Khan (SK) Nasiri was born in Afghanistan, in 2004. He had just turned fifteen when he fled his homeland. His perilous journey to and through Europe took more than two years. He was one of the main characters in the multi-award winning documentary Shadow Game, and one of the driving forces behind the accompanying impact campaign, “Protect Children on the Move.” He has spoken in the European Parliament, at the Council of Europe, and in the Croatian Parliament to raise awareness of the violation of refugee children’s rights. He is currently studying in Belgium, and is working on becoming a TikTok journalist, reporting on the life of refugee teenagers in Europe and the Afghan diaspora. This is his co-directorial debut.

Sam Soko is an award-winning director, producer, and editor based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is co-founder of LBx Africa, a Kenyan production company that works to bring uniquely African perspectives to global audiences. LBx Africa produced the 2018 Academy Award–nominated short Watu Wote. His first feature-documentary, Softie, a story about balancing a deep love for one's country with the needs of family, premiered at Sundance 2020, winning a special jury prize for editing. His satirical radio play, "The New Bwana," was produced and broadcast by BBC4. Soko is an outspoken defender of freedom of expression and has taken part in global conversations on how to make media matter when the world is on fire.

Mila Turajlić is an award-winning director born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Her films have screened at numerous festivals and been released theatrically in Europe and North America. Her film The Other Side of Everything (2017), HBO Europe’s first co-production with Serbia, won 32 awards, including the IDFA Award for Best Documentary Film. Mila’s debut feature doc, Cinema Komunisto (2011) played at over 100 festivals and won 16 awards, including the FOCAL Award for Creative Use of Archival Footage. In her work with archives, Mila delves into questions about the representation of history at the intersection of personal memories and political narratives, seeking to reactivate forgotten histories. Her research-based artistic practice ranges from video installations commissioned by MoMA New York, to live documentary performances. In 2020, Mila was invited to join the AMPAS (Oscars) Documentary Branch. Her most recent project, the documentary diptych Ciné-Guerrillas and Non-Aligned: Scenes from the Labudović Reels, an archival road trip through the cinematic birth of the Third World, premiered in autumn 2022.
