Love-22-Love is an ode to art. The creation of art is filmmaker Kooijmans' raison d'être yet it also drives him to deep despair, depression and eventual psychosis. As Kooijmans’ turns the camera on himself, unbearably raw archival footage documents how the depression pulls at him, or the psychosis makes him unrecognizable to himself. Love-22-Love is a deeply personal film that is, above all, a search for self-love and a declaration of love to his wife.
