Egy újságíró meggyilkolása

Matt Sarnecki újságíró, producer és filmrendező a Szervezett bűnözés és korrupciójelentési projektnél. A Columbia Egyetemen politikatudományból és történelemből szerzett BA fokozatot. Két évig önkéntesként dolgozott a Békehadtestben, Romániában, majd Fulbright tanári ösztöndíjasként Prágában tanult az Előadóművészeti Akadémia Film és TV Iskolájában. 2011-ben San Franciscóba költözött, ahol a Kalifornia Egyetemen, a Berkeley-n MA fokozatot szerzett újságírásból. 2013 óta újra Romániában él, Bukarestben. Pavel Sheremet meggyilkolásáról szóló Killing Pavel című dokumentumfilmje 2017-ben az Oknyomozó újságíró és szerkesztő kitüntetést, 2018-ban pedig a dokumentarista oknyomozó újságírásért odaítélt olasz DIG díjat vehette át.

Író és rendező, 1967-ben született a lengyelországi Katowicében. Számos rangos díj és szakmai elismerés mellett Children of Leningradsky című filmjét Oscar-díjra és Emmy-díjra, Something Better To Come dokumentumfilmjét pedig a Producer Guild of America díjra jelölték. A főszereplőivel kialakított érzelmi kapocs teszi számára lehetővé, hogy minél bensőségesebb és költőibb filmeket készíthessen, amelyek az emberi lélek erejét ünneplik, és az emberiség szépségét ábrázolják a legviszontagságosabb körülmények közepette.

Bernadette Wegenstein osztrák származású, az amerikai Baltimore-ban élő nyelvész, szerző és elismert dokumentumfilm-készítő. Munkáiban a feminizmust ötvözi az emberközpontú történetmeséléssel. Nyelvészetből doktorált, és jelenleg a John Hopkins Egyetemen oktat médiatudományt. Eddig négy dokumentumfilmet rendezett, úgymint a Made Over in America, a See You Soon Again, a The Good Breast és a The Conductor című filmeket.

Tearless

Gina Kim is a writer and director whose five feature films and works of video art have screened at over 150 prestigious international film festivals and venues such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Sundance, as well as MoMa, Centre Pompidou, and the Smithsonian. Praised by Le Figaro as a “fearless feminist who conceals an extreme sensitivity,” Kim’s Invisible Light (2003) was selected as one of the 10 best films of 2003 by Film Comment. Never Forever (2007), starring Jung-woo Ha and Vera Farmiga, was the first co-production between the United States and South Korea. Kim’s latest work Bloodless (2017) won the Best VR Story Award at the 74th Venice International Film Festival, followed by international acclaim and numerous awards and nominations. Kim’s films have been theatrically released to critical acclaim in Europe, Asia, and the US. Kim is a professor at UCLA.

Before They Fall

Cam is an award winning filmmaker with a demonstrated history of working on documentary, commercial and outdoor lifestyle focused films. He has spent the majority of his career building his portfolio as a director, and has found success in conservation/natural history storytelling. Cam has had the pleasure of working with some of the most influential names in conservation and his latest documentary won "Best Canadian Documentary" at the BC Environmental Film Fest. Through this work he has also cut his teeth as a cinematographer and editor. Cam’s inspiration as a filmmaker comes from the environment he is in and this often comes through in his work- nature is the true artist!
