Youth Unstoppable
Slater Jewell-Kemker was 15 when she began documenting the untold stories of young people who are refusing to sacrifice their future to climate change. Over the course of 12 years, and set against the stunning visuals of a planet in crisis, her film follows the evolution of a diverse network of youth rising up to shape the world they live in. For them, climate change is more than headlines; it is the alarming daily life of their home towns and villages. Jewell-Kemker’s film, in a manner unusually salient, shows that we can save our planet, but that it will require the collective effort of each and every one of us, along with bold political decisions that rise above the political interests of the world’s wealthiest nations.
