Student Verzió once again invites high school students to free film screenings followed by engaging discussions. Participating students can choose from five contemporary documentaries. The topics are: fashion junkies in their twenties preparing for their leaving exams, how to heal our polluted soil, quarantine stories from French teenagers, high school students from San Francisco trying to get into university, and young activists fighting for their future. These films will make you think, and present their subjects through an exciting and extraordinary prism. Through their personal stories, the protagonists highlight some greater, current and often complex social problem. Post-screening discussions provide a better understanding of documentaries as a genre, and enable students to gain knowledge on and form an opinion about the complexity of the world around them.
The registration for the cinema screenings has now closed, but Student Verzió films are also available online between 15–21 November 2021.
