A small girl (Ilze Zariņa) discovers the sights and rhythm of Riga while searching for flowers – white bells. The white bells resemble a city symphony as depicted by city life, from its awakening to the busiest time of the day. The film is built on visual contrasts, without a single word. With camerawork by Uldis Brauns, it is considered the precursor to the Riga school of documentary cinema.
