A film about three young men coming of age and a reflection on the lives of their grandmothers. As the boys embark on a trip to discover Europe, their grandmothers—a British spy, a dancer from Nazi Germany, and a Hungarian Holocaust survivor and communist—recall their pasts, leading us on a virtual journey through the history of the 20th century. Bálint Révész’s funny and fresh documentary has gained praise at international film festivals and won the Best Documentary Award from Hungarian film critics. In Révész’s words, “One must only engage in liberating and unrestricted conversations with the oldest generation, because there is not much time left.”
