Kornél Mundruczó will open the 14th Verzio Film Festival

Filmmaker Kornél Mundruczó will open Verzio 14. Nowhere to Hide, a film about the life of a nurse in war-torn Iraq, will be the first film shown. This year also marks the first time Trafó will host the opening events.

The best, recent documentary films tell the stories of Chinese children living in a heap of plastic rubbish, an imprisoned Ukrainian filmmaker, Syrian bloggers, Brazilian media ninjas, and a female football player waiting for a visa. A series of peculiar fates can be witnessed at the 14th Verzio International Human Rights Film Festival.

Student Jury of Verzio 14

A Student Jury was invited to Verzio 14 following the tradition of the previous years, to award the best human rights documentary film of the festival. The jury was selected on a competitive basis, answering an open call for jury members.
