Extended deadline until February 9th

Registration for the Civil Society Pitch is extended until February 9th! We are still waiting for the registrations of NGOs and filmmakers for the 5th edition of the unique documentary development program with a focus on social issues and human rights.

At the end of January, two of our colleagues attended our partner festival, FIPADOC in France.

Hanna Kádár participated as a jury member of the Young Europeans Jury which evaluated the European Stories section of the festival.

The screenings of the 19th Verzió Film Festival ended in the cinemas on November 16, but the festival continues online. In Verzió Film Festival's online film library at festival.verzio.org, most of the films are available to rent until November 20

Award-winning films of the 19th Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival were announced on Saturday at Toldi Cinema. The three juries awarded three main prizes and two special mentions. The prize winners can be watched in Toldi Cinema on November 14, Monday and November 15, Tuesday. 

The festival screenings continue in cinemas until Wednesday. Between November 14-20, most of the films can be viewed online at festival.verzio.org.

The Killing of a Journalist will have two extra screenings: on Sunday at 2 PM in Művész cinema, and on Monday at 6.30 PM in Toldi Cinema. The dcoumentary, directed by Matt Sarnecki, won the Audience Award at the 19th Verzió Film Festival.

Change of program on 15 and 16 November! 

We are delighted to announce that, due to overwhelming interest and sold-out screenings, Beauty of the Beast, It Has Passed, and It's Fine and Howling Like We Do will be screened in a larger auditorium on 15 November (Tuesday) and Wednesday 16 November. There will be an extra screening of KIM

The new venues and screening times for the films are listed below. Tickets previously purchased for the Small Hall are still valid for the Big Hall.

The industry programmes of the 19th Verzió will feature nine events over four days, for film professionals, for students and teachers, as well as for those interested in the practical and theoretical aspects of documentary film education and filmmaking.
